I cheated my way out of today by watching a short, but at least I chose a winning one, that’s also really sweet. Pixar knows how to make them, and this was 5 minutes and a half of gorgeous animation, with a great attention to detail and a very cute story. It’s about a baby bird learning how to eat for itself. I can see why it won, since it’s so heartwarming, and it manages to tell a story in such a limited time. And from a first-time director. Great.
