Another busy day, another Oscar-winning animated short film. This one was less impressive than Piper, but I had set the bar pretty high. It’s a black & white short about a guy finding the girl he likes with the help of some paper planes. It uses its limited screentime pretty well, and, while the animation was beautiful, I didn’t feel like the story brought anything new. It’s a standard boy meets girl, with a slightly nostalgic feel.

 

I give it: 8/10
