I can enjoy this film without being an avid fan of the show, and I bet so could you. Yes, it’s offensive beyond imagination, but I loved that, because it’s mostly wrapped in smart jokes and crazy situations that I liked.

The songs aren’t bad at all, so in a sense it’s a good musical. Blame Canada is not the best of the bunch, but kudos to the Academy for even considering this film, that also offers other titles like Uncle Fucka and Kyle's Mom's a Bitch. Highly recommended.
