The most recent winner in the animated short film category is not as interesting as its praised reputation would suggest. It’s cute, but just that. The story is pretty basic, and while it’s nice we get more material about minority characters, and black girls, everything is so simple and lacking creativity, that it ends up being endearing, but just not awards-worthy or special.

 

I give it: 7/10
