Where is Kathleen Turner’s Oscar nomination for Best Actress? There was definitely room in that infamous 1984 category. She is funny, sweet and brings a charming geek element to the role, that I didn’t remember. She is not oversexualized and clearly elevates the material.

I mean, I know the film is a typical adventure-romance movie, with not much depth to offer, but it’s fun, engaging and Kathleen & Michael are great together. Relaxing.
